Before travelling to Amsterdam it is essential to make a list of places that you can enjoy, museums that you can visit and pubs you should have fun in. Amsterdam is spectacular during the day but when the sun goes down the magic actually starts to happen. Walking along the canal-side streets with a hot drink is one of the things you should really not miss. If you are luck enough, you will be able to enjoy Amsterdam Light Festival as well. During the city's darkest days numerous light installations brighten up the canals and this view will make you feel like you are in heaven.

There is no secret that Amsterdam is one of the most energetic places in the whole world so if dance music is what makes you happy then you should know that you will find the world's top DJ's getting tune after tune in many clubs of Amsterdam until the sun comes up. The Van Gogh Museum and The Stedelijk Museum are usually open until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday. Therefore, if it happens for you to visit the city in November you will have the chance to enjoy "Museum Night" which is a special day when over 50 museums are opening their doors during the night to welcome thousands of visitors. Oh did I mention that this is also an opportunity for you to taste some delicious food and some of the finest beverages in the world? You should certainly not miss it!
